Principal Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate, timely filing of US consolidated federal, state, and local corporate tax returns..
  • Assist in the preparation and review of the annual corporate tax provision (ASC 740) and all related assumptions, analyses, journal entries, calculations and footnote disclosures. Includes management and coordination with finance and accounting departments, along with collaboration with external service providers.
  • Evaluate uncertain tax reporting positions and business combinations in order to properly reflect the tax treatment of such items in the financial statement.
  • Oversee sales and use tax and property tax processes.
  • Support in identifying of tax planning opportunities as well as tax risks arising from changes of the group or business structure and tax law changes.
  • Support with transfer pricing documentation.
  • Coordinate sale and use tax and corporate tax payments with the treasury team and apply for corporate tax extensions.
  • Support US corporate tax and sales and use tax tax audits and participate in developing strategies to successfully defend tax filing positions.
  • Monitor, research and implement procedures to incorporate proper tax accounting for new business scenarios and for adopting new tax regulations or accounting guidance.
  • Participate in the review of proposed transactions to properly advise management of tax consequences.
  • Monitor legislative/regulatory tax law developments, communicate the related income tax compliance impacts, and propose solutions/planning ideas.
  • Take responsibility and ownership of the relationship at appropriate levels in the organization.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors, working aside them to ensure that they are providing high-quality, cost-effective services while developing and implementing strategic tax planning for all necessary federal, state, and local taxes.

Requirements:

  • A successfully completed university degree in law, economics, business administration or comparable.
  • 7-9 years of US corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or a corporate environment.
  • Solid expertise in the areas of indirect and direct taxes, transfer pricing and withholding taxes.
  • Strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skills.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, research and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance.
  • Self-starter with the ability and willingness to exercise independent judgment and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
  • Very well structured, analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication skills.
