Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an exceptional leader to join the USANA accounting team as a senior manager of cost accounting. In this position, you will provide technical guidance and ensure consistent application of cost accounting principles across the manufacturing sites related to the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close. You will also ensure the following: completeness of inventory records, inventory is valued properly, recorded accurately and timely, and reconciliations between the sub-ledger and general ledger are performed. 

What You Will Do as USANA’s Senior Manager Cost Accounting

• Responsible for leading and participating in cost improvement projects (e.g. ERP system updates and processes that impact both accounting and operations)
• Provide leadership to assigned staff by leading organizational change, developing and empowering staff, cultivating relationships, and putting staff in a position to succeed, meeting their personal career goals while also achieving organizational goals
• Advocate for global automation and standardization of the cost accounting process and initiate improvements in business management tools
• Support the Company’s international markets with their inventory management, which includes physical counts, inventory movements/errors, batch management, and other tasks as needed
• Lead annual standard cost update (global cost) project and work with cost accountants and other functional leaders to update standard costs
• Manage and lead efforts to improve inventory management, costing, and production efficiencies

Background and Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or other business-related degree 
• In-depth understanding of MRP/MPS 
• 10+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting/manufacturing as a cost accountant in a manufacturing environment including experience using a standard cost system, supervising employees, and processes
• Working knowledge of computer and associated programs including ORACLE OPM, Agile, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx
