Work You'll Do
- The UI/UX accessibility designer oversees all visual design efforts to support general accessibility and Section 508 compliance.
- In addition, this position develops and maintains relationships with key peers in marketing, branding, UX leaders, IT leaders, and others to identify and plan creative solutions.
- Ensure the use of responsive designs based on current best practices.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance of application release management, outage management, and change control processes and standards.
- Define, create, communicate, and manage resource plans and other required project documentation such as style guides and provide updates as necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in Creative Design, Brand Marketing/Advertising, or related field of Arts.
- 2+ years of experience developing proof-of-concepts and prototypes of easy-to-navigate user interfaces.
- Experience supporting and/or leading accessibility related trainings to include Section 508 awareness, Creating Accessible Documents, and Fundamentals in Accessibility Training.
- Experience providing subject matter expertise and customer support to system owners and technical personnel to ensure systems are tested for Section 508 compliance.
- Experience planning and facilitating the usability testing of a system, including analysis and synthesis of the results of usability testing to provide recommendations for change to a system.
- Experience using visualization tools including, at minimum: Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat Professional, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Office Suite, and Figma
- Ability to work on site 100% of the time in Washington D.C.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility required
- Ability to travel 0 - 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred Qualifications
- SharePoint site testing experience.
- Displayed ability to code, test, and debug documents and implement web applications using a variety of platforms.
- Experience with basic front-end technologies to develop user interface (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience pitching new projects and creative concepts to new and existing clients.
- Experience with brand experience, brand development and management, design strategy, multimedia production, data visualization, graphical or video asset production, print/publication design, motion/video/audio production, information architecture.
