The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success.  It delivers the training, tools and opportunities needed to create innovative solutions for the function & the corporation.  GSM has leading edge, effective processes to anticipate and exceed customer requirements.

Location: Corning, NY or Charlotte, NC

 

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management for projects over $10M.
• Skills:
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and construction contracts.
  • Project estimating skills.
  • Scope development, bid tendering, and award.
  • Project scheduling and cost control.
  • Supplier negotiation skills.
• Background: Engineering or Technical background.

Responsibilities:

• Support facility capital construction projects.
• Work closely with Engineering to provide instruction to project teams and managers.
• Develop project scopes, estimates, and schedules.
• Manage bid tendering and award processes.
• Control project costs and schedules.
• Negotiate with suppliers.
• Manage a capital project portfolio, including Expansion of Business (EOB), Maintenance of Business (MOB), and Development projects.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or supply chain.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in capital sourcing and contract administration.
