About the role

It all started with an idea at Block in 2013. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay/Clearpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 50+ million monthly active customers. We want to redefine the world’s relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.

Today, Cash App has thousands of employees working globally across office and remote locations, with a culture geared toward innovation, collaboration and impact. We’ve been a distributed team since day one, and many of our roles can be done remotely from the countries where Cash App operates. No matter the location, we tailor our experience to ensure our employees are creative, productive, and happy.

The GPS team has responsibility for the following compliance-focused functions: Policies & Standards, Mandatory Training, Management & Board Reporting, Continuous Education & Development, and Issue Management Oversight.

As the Compliance Program Quality & Communications Manager reporting to the Head of GPS, you'll own end-to-end quality assurance, performance metrics, and stakeholder communications to ensure our GPS-owned programs meet rigorous standards and support scalable growth. You Will

  • Define, track, and report on GPS health metrics and outcomes; build health dashboards and data visualizations that spotlight performance trends and action areas
  • Develop, document, and monitor data-driven, end-to-end processes and controls to ensure GPS program scalability, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement, implementing strategies that improve effectiveness, deliver high-quality outcomes, and escalate issues
  • Be a single point of contact for GPS communications and general compliance inquiries by intaking and actioning on requests, consolidating related issues, routing each to the appropriate team, standardizing deliverables, tracking resolutions, and streamlining delivery to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate feedback loops across GPS initiatives and global partners to ensure alignment on objectives, scope, and communications to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage team intranet pages, calendars, document repositories, support management and planning of team events and activities
  • Provide designated, as-needed support to program leads, regulatory exams and audit engagements, and special projects for Compliance leadership

You Have

  • 5+ years experience in Compliance or Risk Management within regulated financial-services companies, or in a matrix global organizations.
  • Experience with risk principles and frameworks, including regulatory and audit processes with experience supporting related engagements
  • Experience delivering medium-to large-scale projects, and meeting or exceeding KRIs
  • Experience analyzing large, raw, complex and unstructured datasets and building insightful dashboards or visualizations (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Google Sheets);
  • Experience crafting clear, concise content for senior leadership, adapting tone for diverse audiences
  • Adept at synthesizing complex and multifaceted problems to deliver practical insights and solutions
  • Collaborative and proactive problem solver who works effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management

Even Better

  • Green belt or Black belt certification
  • Experience working in a Fintech
