SHIFT: 1st

HOURS: 7:00am - 4:30pm. Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays. 

HOURLY PAY= $18.00 PER HOUR

SUMMARY

A Selector is responsible for evaluating and selecting various types of milk products based on quality, specifications, and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

  • Pull customer orders in sequence and place products on conveyor chain.
  • Check each item after products are placed on the line.
  • Apply the appropriate customer information to the product they select.
  • Document code dates on load sheets as required.
  • Identify and report all quality issues to their supervisor.
  • Picks up trash and cooler spills from the work area and hoses down the chains, chain covers, and the floor daily.
  • Manually palletizing products using a hand truck (dolly).
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Perform basic math skills.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or International Education Equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50-60 pounds. It also requires reaching and handling dairy products and pushing and pulling stacks of products weighing up to 200lbs.
