Overview
The department of Surgery at Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University has a faculty position opening at the assistant or associate professor level. Candidates should either be board certified or board eligible and interested in program building and working in a multidisciplinary manner with colleagues in numerous specialties.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with peers, faculty and support staff
Participate in academic/clinical/research activities as needed
Participate in administrative, department policy and procedure development.
Participate in clinical based research projects as needed.
Participate in committees as assigned.
Supervise staff under faculty supervision.
Provide physician care to patients in office/hospital setting.
Collaborate with Nursing, office staff, administration in patient care
Participate in education evaluation and career development of students, residents, fellows and staff.
