A Day in the Life

Overview

Join Medtronic’s Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health team as a Senior Strategic Clinical Program Manager, where you’ll shape the clinical evidence strategy that drives therapy innovation, adoption, and access. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that bridges science, strategy, and execution, developing clinical roadmaps and incorporating AI and real-world evidence (RWE) to transform patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Evidence Planning

  • Translate business and therapy strategies into clinical evidence plans to enable clinical insights which drive evidence generation 
  • Own the development and lifecycle of integrated evidence roadmaps
  • Drive upstream and downstream alignment with R&D, Regulatory, HEOR, Marketing, and Clinical Affairs

AI & RWE Innovation

  • Identify and apply real-world datasets (EMR, claims, registries) and AI/ML tools to enhance clinical strategy
  • Collaborate with Data Science to explore digital biomarkers and AI-enabled clinical insights
  • Guide integration of digital health tools into study design or strategy

Execution & Program Oversight

  • Support cross-functional core teams with clinical strategy expertise from concept to post-market
  • Monitor progress, resolve risks, and adapt plans based on closed study insights and market feedback
  • Review and prioritize External Research Program (ERP) and Collaborative Research Studies 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with key opinion leaders and scientific advisors to validate strategy direction
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and publication teams to drive timely, impactful dissemination
  • Ensure regional evidence needs are captured and incorporated into global strategy

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of clinical research, strategy, or program management experience

OR advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience

  • 3+ years of leadership experience (e.g., leading programs, workstreams, or cross-functional teams)
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in medical devices or regulated clinical research

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MS, MPH, MBA) or PhD in life sciences, engineering, or public health
  • Knowledge of neuromodulation, pelvic health, pain, or neuroscience therapy areas
  • Strong familiarity with real-world evidence (RWE), AI/ML applications, or digital health
  • Experience influencing upstream pipeline and downstream reimbursement/market access strategy
  • PMP certification or formal project/program management training
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and scientific writing skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$161,600.00 - $242,400.00
