Working in partnership with the Principal Investigator and the Associate Director of Immunology of the Center for Cytokine Storm and Treatment Laboratory (CSTL), the Senior Research Investigator will conceptualize and develop the work-plans for current and future research projects that fall within the scope of currently funded grants. Working alongside the Associate Director of Immunology, the Senior Research Investigator will design, plan and execute experiments that will generate new insights into Castleman disease and other related inflammatory disorders. The Senior Research Investigator will collaborate with on-campus investigators and utilize core labs and resources to ensure optimal and efficient data generation. This individual will also interact with external partners (federal funding bodies, pharmaceutical collaborators, non-profit partners, external collaborators, etc.) from around the world to assure rapid progression of the science towards medical breakthroughs to help patients.Position contingent upon funding.
Job Description
The Center for Cytokine Storm Treatment & Laboratory (CSTL) is entering a new era of unprecedented opportunity to address cytokine storm disorders with major unmet medical need, such as Castleman disease. Our discoveries in Castleman disease have set the stage for further successful treatments for devastating cytokine storm disorders. The CSTL combines ‘omic analyses of patient biospecimens, hypothesis-driven basic science research, and clinical data analyses to discover pathogenic drivers of disease and novel therapeutic approaches for cytokine storm disorders.
