In Virginia Tech’s Division of Student Affairs, that’s exactly what we’re doing every day—guiding, nurturing, and supporting students as they learn and grow into the leaders and world-changers of today and tomorrow.

We’re currently searching for a seasoned professional to assist with special projects and initiatives related to health and well-being on our team in Blacksburg, VA. This is a part-time role created to help our health and wellbeing departments with conducting organizational assessments, synthesizing data from those assessments, identifying emerging themes and issues, and writing reports of findings (including making recommendations for enhancing organizational effectiveness). In short, we're looking for someone who is capable of serving in a consultative capacity as a subject matter expert in student health and well-being--providing us with critical insights gleaned from analysis into our operations and programming.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE:
1) You’ll be joining the Student Affairs Health and Wellness team; a department centered on the physical and mental well-being of VT students.
2) You’ll be reporting to the Associate Vice President for Health and Wellness, in a 1500-hour wage appointment. 
3) You’ll be working on special projects and providing recommendations on various health and well-being initiatives.
4) You’ll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
5) You’ll be offered a base compensation package between $43.00 - $47.00/hour.

Required Qualifications
• Advanced degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive experience working in an area directly related to collegiate health and wellness.
• Extensive experience analyzing health and wellness related data.
• Significant experience working with confidential patient records.
• Significant experience working with electronic databases and medical record systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional licensure in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work
