About the Team:

This team is working on FlyReel application – an underwriting and claims tool for insurance carriers and end users. This team is focused on the web-based portal side of the app.

About the Role:

We are looking for an eager to learn and knowledgeable Full Stack Engineer that can help support a variety of new features to support our mobile app experience within our web-based portal. You will be a part of a squad within our Agile environment that will focus on both Front End and Back End development. As a squad you will be responsible for researching, designing, refining, and developing product solutions in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Typescript/React

  • Experience in Node.JS, RESTful API, and cloud computing (GCP or AWS) are a must

  • Knowledge of MongoDB and proficiency in SQL database querying (SQL or Non-SQL), NestJS, and Python

  • Event-driven architecture and microservices architecture

  • Experience of web forms, creating dynamic responsive UIs, state management, HTML/CSS

  • Knowledge of Tanstack React Query and Vercel

  • Effective communicator to various teams including developers, BAs, product managers, and QAs

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop efficient workflows and integrations

  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and GitHub and experience with GitHub source control

  • A methodical and detail-oriented mindset that uses logical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
     

Responsibilities

Core Development

  • Develop responsive, dynamic user interfaces that provide a seamless user experience across devices.

  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of front-end and back-end components.

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows, particularly via Vercel for frontend services.

  • Work with MongoDB and SQL/NoSQL databases to design schemas, optimize queries, and maintain data integrity.

  • Integrate data and workflows across internal and external systems using APIs and event-driven patterns.

  • Collaborate closely with product managersbusiness analystsQA engineers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.

  • Participate in sprint planningcode reviews, and technical design discussions to ensure alignment and quality.

  • Write unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality and ensure reliability. Identify bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues, and devise effective solutions.

  • Debug complex issues across the full stack, applying logical, detail-oriented thinking. Analyze business and technical requirements to design scalable, maintainable, and efficient systems.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $77,300 - $128,700. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
