Boeing, Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated, talented Structural and Payload Design Engineers to join the Precision Engagement Systems (PES) team located in Saint Charles, MO

As a part of the Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) organization, Precision Engagement Systems (PES) is a dynamic and growing team with leadership that is focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions on Direct Attack (DA) and Cruise Missiles Systems (CMS) programs. Connected to our customers' missions, we deliver unique capability through our exceptional talent.  The programs we support in Saint Charles, MO include Direct Attack weapons (JDAM, SDB, MOP, HAAWC and associated derivatives) and Cruise Missiles (SLAM ER, Harpoon and development weapons) utilized on various military aircraft, some ground-based platforms, and other future contract awards.

In this position you will innovate, develop, maintain and modify structural systems and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design

  • Develop, maintain and modify basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle

  • Perform tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

  • Assist with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals

  • Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Saint Charles, MO.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • Experience with 3D modeling, 2D drawings and drawing packages

  • 1 or more years' engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experienced (Level 3): 3 or more year
