Pay: Salary $80K-$95K per Year
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities within the organization. Your primary objective will be to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain effective financial controls, and provide strategic financial guidance to support key business decisions. You will work closely with the executive team and various stakeholders to drive financial stability, growth, and optimize operational performance.

Essential Functions:
- Exhibits a strong understanding of and actively embodies the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Kennedy Care through consistent behaviors, practices, and decision-making.
- Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
- Lead daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with the finance team to monitor financial performance across the organization.
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable a team responsible for Kennedy Care program accounting.
- Provide, as necessary, monthly, quarterly, and year-end analysis and tax planning for approximately 6 entities.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable process and vendor relationships.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide accurate and timely financial information to management and stakeholders.
- Conduct financial forecasting, cash flow analysis, and risk assessments to support effective decision-making and mitigate financial risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance team performance and effectiveness.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Identify areas for process improvement, implement best practices, and drive efficiency within the finance function.
- Stay updated with industry trends, changes in accounting regulations and recommend appropriate actions to maintain compliance and optimize financial performance.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to drive business growth and profitability.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field or equivalent experience
- Proven experience (5 years) in accounting, billing, collections, or a similar role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Proficient in financial software and tools, with advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
- Strong understanding of accounting
