The position will end on or before Oct 31, 2025. Permanent status cannot be earned in this grant-funded position. This Temporary appointment can be concluded prior to the stated temporary appointment end date, normally with a two-week notice period. Continuation of this temporary appointment is contingent upon grant funding.

Anticipated Hiring Range
$6,186.00 per month ($74,232.00 annually)
Salary is commensurate with experience.
Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the PI for the SF/P K-16 Collaborative, this position works with the grant’s Administrative Lead, the Education Pathway Design Team, and various faculty and department chairs to serve as a liaison between planners, counselors, and administrators at SFSU, CCSF, SMCCD, SFUSD, UCSF, and other partner institutions. The role focuses on expanding clear pathways into education careers with onramps at every level. It supports the grant’s goal of building a collaborative across the San Francisco and Peninsula region to assist students in transitioning from high school to college, especially those from historically underserved communities. Ideal candidates will have experience in PK-12, community colleges, or higher education, and a background in student advising or career services.
Position Information
Liaison Activities Leading to Pathway Development and Implementation
- Meet regularly with the PI, the Administrative Lead, the Social Policy Research (SPR) Lead, and the Education Pathway Design Team and its members to develop a clear and working knowledge of how education pathways work, what’s missing, and what’s needed;
- Responsible for building working relationships that model and enhance the grant’s goals for a collaborative, characterized by collegial and clear communication, regular contact and reaching out, increased awareness and knowledge of education pathways, presence and showing up, professional judgment, follow-through, and collaboration.
- Utilize professional expertise in education to establish and cultivate collaborative relationships with key stakeholders at SFUSD, SF State (particularly in majors that commonly lead to education-related careers), and programs supporting incoming freshmen and transfer students. Develop partnerships with four community colleges (CCSF, Skyline, San Mateo, and Cañada), key district leaders, and support networks to clarify, promote, and enhance education pathways.
- Serve as a point person at SFSU for counselors, advisors, students, teachers, and others who are seeking information about education programs; gather data on inquiries to shape pathway support;
- Take the lead on key outreach activities for education
