The Senior Program Manager Design Quality for Products and Systems is responsible for driving quality improvements in the strategy and execution of the program in the design of products and systems to world-class levels, in close collaboration with our business units and functions. In this role you will have lots of visibility in the entire organization because you will interact with many different stakeholders.
You are responsible for
Defining the strategy/policy and execution of your own program(s) together with business units and functions to drive quality in product design, and support them to reach or maintain a mature, self-propelling state. The focus will be on software intensive medical systems.
Driving improvement of development processes, people competency development, data models, and tools. The focus of this role is on quality in the development of new products and systems as well as quality improvements in our installed base.
Understanding the best-in-class design quality techniques in the industry and applying those to Philips’ software intensive systems development.
Developing targeted capability-building programs focused on improving design quality, including workshops, technical training, peer learning sessions, and coaching.
Your main stakeholders are business unit product development leaders, Patient Safety & Quality teams, and Systems Engineering Excellence teams.
You are a part of
A team of 6 highly skilled Design Quality Engineering experts, passionate about delivering high-quality solutions, to improve the lives of patients and customers. The team is based in Eindhoven and the United States, while they partner with global product development teams and stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
Degree in Engineering or Science.
You’ve acquired a minimum of 12 years of experience in hands-on product development in a high-tech, regulated environment (e.g. Principal Architect Systems Engineering or Design Quality Leader). Your experience comprises the actual development of high-tech products and systems. Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
Advanced degree or certification in Design Quality and Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ, AAMI, ISO standards) is a plus.
Preferrable, you have experience in software development.
You have proven to excel in product quality in design, leading others to raise the bar and understand how to do this in a highly regulated environment. You have proven to understand how the quality and regulatory context can and needs to be leveraged to the benefit of product quality and safety.
You are experienced in working in and influencing a complex stakeholder field across business units and functions.
