System Architect, Thermal Design

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced technical expert to work on thermal analyses and solutions for Mobile Networks Business Unit base station radio products as part of RF Architecture & Specification department. 

The system architect is responsible of creating thermal design concepts for new product platforms and product families. 

The main tasks include analyzing different options to meet product requirements, creating thermal design block specifications, and participating in product thermal conditions specification and thermal control related SW feature work.

When the new platform is ready for transfer to Product Development (PD) teams, the system architect ensures that technologies are well specified and the product meets its requirements. He/she will work parallel with PD engineers to ensure a smooth transfer and participate in the product feasibility studies and reviews. When required system architect will bring his/her expert skills for problem solving and customer cases analyses. Part of the job is new technologies scouting as well as initiating and steering new technologies development. He/she also participates in development of simulation tools (CFD), model based system engineering (MBSE) and other AI/ML driven tools and methodologies.   


Your work in close collaboration with electromechanics teams globally on your specific domain but also as part of cross disciplinary architecture team to define optimal platform solutions.

 

Qualifications:

-    PhD or M.Sc. degree in heat transfer and thermodynamics (or equivalent)
-    Minimum 10 years of thermal simulation experience from which a minimum 3 years for electronics cooling
-    Good communication skills 
-    Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
