The successful candidate will utilize their experience in Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365, as well as APIs, data mapping, SQL, and data transfer formats like XML and JSON to deliver feature rich systems and seamless integrations. Your deep understanding of IT processes and tools will help drive risk mitigation, opportunity identification, and the delivery of high-value solutions.
Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, use cases, and technical specifications.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Analyze existing systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Create technical diagrams (sequence, context, etc.) based on business workflows and data flows using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Contribute to the design of new systems and features, ensuring alignment with business objectives and architectural principles.
- Assist with triage of application issues identified by end-users or system monitors.
- Write and execute SQL queries to extract and analyze data from relational databases.
- Develop a strong understanding of data structures and relationships.
- Create data mapping specifications and user stories.
- Assist in API contract definition.
- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including technical requirements documentation, and technical training materials.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Occasionally required to work late evening and weekends as needed.
- Up to 10% travel as needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, other related field or equivalent work experience, including military experience
Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or a similar role.
Skillset
- Strong multi-team collaboration and facilitation skills
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, practices, and processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiar with Azure cloud-based software development
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, cloud-based infrastructure, and APIs
- Strong understanding of testing principles and processes
- Conceptual understanding data transfer technologies such as Azure Data Factor, SSIS and/or ETL
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Familiarity with ITIL/Service Management processes (i.e., change requests, incidents, etc.)
- Experience defining and testing APIs using tools like Postman.
