JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Institute of State and Regional Affairs (ISRA) at Penn State is seeking students interested in gaining applied research experience in a part-time Research Assistant role. ISRA is a research support unit at Penn State Harrisburg, and includes the Pennsylvania State Data Center and the Center for Survey Research.

Background
Annually, ISRA secures over $3 million in sponsored research funding from a variety of sources, including state, federal, philanthropic, and private funders, allowing it to advance its mission of conducting research that impacts Pennsylvanians and beyond.

As a Research Assistant, you will have the opportunity to support these research projects. This role is ideal for students who wish to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges.

CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for
