SUMMARY:

We currently seek a Project Manager Engineer in the Silicon technology and enablement area. This individual will champion the enhancement, enablement, qualification and transfer of Silicon technology working with external foundry suppliers, advanced development, design engineering, sourcing, supplier and product quality, and reliability engineering in support of Qorvo’s product development and manufacturing roadmap. The individual we seek will develop experience leading cross-functional teams through the technology development lifecycle from concept thru mass production.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organizes, facilitates and co-leads cross functional teams to drive the successful completion of technology development projects, sub-projects, and related deliverables.
• Plans and orchestrates the on-schedule completion of deliverables required to move technology development projects through development process stage gates to achieve overall qualification and general release of new Silicon Technologies on schedule.
• Plans, manages and facilitates technology transfer projects working with external foundries and Qorvo internal cross functional teams.
• Facilitates communication between external Silicon foundries and Qorvo internal functional areas.
• Communicates technology project status to management, business units, the cross functional team, design engineering, marketing, etc.
• Communicates within Qorvo situations where difficulties, delays or roadblocks put our product development at risk and works to develop and implement risk mitigation actions.
• Works to improve and evolve our technology development process.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong team leadership skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams including external suppliers and customers
• Leadership in aligning the goals of multiple stakeholders and establishing project plans
• Sound decision-making skills in addressing complex technical issues and obstacles to project completion
• Project management experience is required
• Silicon technology and packaging process background is preferred
• Preferred 5 plus years experience in the semiconductor industry
• BS degree required in Engineering field of study in an accredited college or university
