The Role:
Veeva Link’s vision is to build connected data applications to improve research and patient outcomes. We are looking for an organized and experienced data operations manager to join the Veeva Link product team. As our Data Operations Manager, you will lead a large remote team consisting of 5 direct reports and over 500 total reports. Your team is responsible for manually curating the scientific activities data matched into a key people’s profile and maintaining the key people’s base data for the Link product family. Additionally, your team also owns the affiliation database and captures some other data points such as emerging experts.  To thrive in your role, you need a servant leadership mentality, relentless pursuit of productivity and quality improvement, and continuous delivery of good results. You are people-oriented, data-driven, and solution-focused with strong interpersonal skills. What You'll Do

• Own team results/KPIs and develop team culture 
• Configures team’s operating model and manages resources
• Lead, motivate, and support five direct reports and 500+ total reports
• Hire and develop capable team leads, hold leads accountable for managerial work
• Set and meet production targets following requirements from data governance 
• Manage business process optimization involving cross-functional stakeholder groups

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to business, engineering, or life sciences
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing operations teams 
• Experience with interviewing candidates for the hiring
• Experience with managing business process optimization
• Experience with managing cross-functional projects
• Knowledge of leadership and motivational theories 

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree, MBA, or PhD
• Lean six sigma certification
• Exposure to software or life science industry
