Position Summary

Provides analytical and administrative and project support to the compensation function including data collection and data analysis and compensation plan administration. This position also supports the work of the visiting learner process.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance to managers, supervisors and employees through interpretation of compensation policies, procedures and salary administration guidelines. Partners with departments to develop,create and update job descriptions and job profiles as needed ensuring legal compliance. Reviews new jobs, promotions/demotions and reclassification using market data to ensure external competitiveness and position comparison for internal alignment. 

  • Provides day-to-day operational coordination and administrative support for the visiting learner process.  Assists with reporting and program communications.

  • Participates in compensation surveys. Reviews and adjusts survey matches as needed to ensure the best match to the market. 

  • Reviews for consistency and adherence to guidelines and approves all staff transactions entered into Workday where salary is affected including promotions, demotions, reclassifications and pay rate changes. 

  • Assists or leads projects as needed to support Compensation initiatives. Assists on SOP development, as needed to support Compensation initiatives. Participates in systems testing.

  • May audit compensation and related data in HR systems for compliance with policies and regulations.Coordinates and assists with workflow and business processes around service tracking and reporting system along with reporting and data 

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Location/Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional evening and weekend hours both on-campus and off-campus in service to community partners and to the institute’s mission.

Physical Effort

  • Typically sitting at a desk or table.
  •  Repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement.
  •  Ability to move to on and off-campus locations.

$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
