Practice Lead - Cloud and Infrastructure Solutions

DGR Systems, a growing premier technology consulting company, is looking for a Cloud and Infrastructure Practice Lead with an advanced focus on enterprise infrastructure (server, storage, edge-to-cloud platforms, IaaS, PaaS), and databases to join our highly competent team.

This individual will provide team leadership to our Infrastructure architects and engineers as well as be a key collaborator to other functions of the organization such as Executive/Accounting/Finance, Human Resources, Business Development, and other Professional Services practices. Specifically, this position will set team direction, and activities, and drive the development of service solutions and capabilities within the Cloud and Infrastructure space.

The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator with an ability to simplify complex topics into clear messages and must be consultative in focus with a growth mindset and passion for continuous learning to bring the best solutions to our clients. The candidate will bring technical experience, team leadership and business acumen to DGR Systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide practice ownership through the understanding and evangelizing of how technology solutions can help solve business challenges and lead the development of services to meet those needs
• Develop a high-performing team by assisting in hiring competent talent, prioritizing development, leading by example, and preparing people to take on more complex roles and engagements
• Ensure the execution of service delivery for our clients to a standard of excellence expected by our clients
• Consultatively engage with existing and prospective clients, partnered with our sales organization, to help identify technologies to solve client challenges and to design approaches for the deployment of those technologies to meet their needs
• Engage with the vendor partner community to align our team and focus with their sales and technical solution development where it makes sense
• Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, design sessions, proofs of concept, and pilots to explain, demonstrate, and prove to our customers the capabilities of Cloud and Infrastructure products and services, and how we can make their businesses more successful
• Craft, review, and present statements of work to our clients to outline service engagements with them
• Cultivate a current understanding of the IT marketplace for related technologies
• Oversee pipeline, presales, resourcing and utilization of assigned team members to program engagement requests.  Oversees project tasks and milestones are completed on time, within scope, and with quality and accuracy.  Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project success inclusive of timesheet management and project completion management.
• Lead the training, development, coaching, performance management, selection and separation processes of assigned team members.
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 10 years or progressive experience in infrastructure solution consulting with 2 years in team leadership.
• Proven consultative mindset and experience with the ability to integrate complex elements and customer requirements into innovative technical architectures
• Industry-leading experience with cloud, hybrid infrastructures and adjacent technologies, architecture designs, migrations, and industry standards
• Advanced understanding and experience with server, storage and/or networking products required
• Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, organizational, presentation, product demonstration, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated client-focus solutions provider excelling at understanding customer needs and translating those needs to solutions
• Experience in staff planning, resource management, and recruiting technology talent
• Serves as a role model to others for translating complex and technical information
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both technical and non-technical audiences
