Retail Internship Program – 8 Weeks
Join the retail department at Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain with our hands-on 8-week internship program. This hands-on experience provides a comprehensive look at both the strategic and operational sides of retail — starting with sourcing and buying, followed by shop floor and warehouse operations.

Program Overview:
Weeks 1–4: Sourcing & Buying
Kick off your internship by exploring the strategic backbone of retail — product selection, vendor relations, and trend forecasting.
- Product Research:
- Assist the buying team with brand sourcing and product development research.
- Review guest survey feedback and provide recommendations based on data.
- Supplier Engagement:
- Get introduced to vendor communication and relationship-building practices.
- Sit in on product selection meetings and participate in sample reviews.
- Buying Process:
- Learn the steps of assortment planning, margin calculation and replenishment forecasting.
- Help monitor purchase order progress, timelines and product performance metrics.
Weeks 5–8: Shop & Warehouse Operations
Build your operational knowledge by working on the ground in our stores and warehouse facilities.
- Store Interactions:
- Engage in daily store functions such as customer service, merchandising, and stock needs.
- Learn the essentials of visual merchandising
- Warehouse Operations:
- Understand the product flow from receipt to shelf or customer shipment.
- Assist with inventory organization, tracking, and fulfillment processes.
- Gain exposure to retail tech systems for managing orders and stock levels.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service or retail preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Must be capable of learning new computer software programs quickly
- Have solid computer and various software knowledge: POS, Inventory systems, Excel, Word, Outlook
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate with guests, team members and managers
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Basic knowledge and understanding of math
