Job Description

AECOM is seeking civil, mechanical and electrical, Senior Inspector to be based in New York, NY. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Knowledge and familiarity with contract documents, ensure that construction work is performed in accordance with contract drawings, specifications and all applicable codes and standards.
• Conduct site inspections as required, attend progress meetings and final inspections and document meeting minutes.
• Perform constructability reviews for future contracts, provide meaningful comments on drawings and specifications by specified dates.
• Review and evaluate potential items of extra work, provide justification and cost estimate, comment on and approve quantities of work in place for payment applications in a timely fashion, complete daily narratives.
• Ensure that construction work is performed in accordance with contract drawings, specifications and all applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• HS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Requirements:

• Port Authority experience
• New York City agency experience.
• Confined Space certification.
• NYC Local Law 52 scaffold certification.
• Familiarity with NYC Building Code.
• Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to pass a SWAC Background Check at High Level.
• Extended and weekend shifts will be required.
