Job Description:
The Academy Enablement Manager (AEM) is responsible for identifying, owning, and actively managing all aspects of risk in an assigned business or control function. They take direct accountability for maintaining sound business processes, adequate controls and an appropriate level of governance in alignment with policies, guidelines and the Risk Framework. AEMS actively participates in strategic initiatives and cross-organizational projects that impact one or more organizations. They collaborate across the organization to analyze, implement, and update processes by using sound process improvement models and techniques. The role requires the ability to develop strong partnerships and coordination with business partners across all lines of business.
The Academy Enablement Manager (AEM) demonstrates a deep understanding of the Risk Framework and takes personal responsibility for managing risk effectively. They proactively identify and control risks, issues and concerns to foster responsible growth and maintain a culture of strong self-identification and remediation. AEM actively participates in and contributes to risk routines for assigned business or control function, including risk identification, challenging others to think objectively to make risk-informed decisions and develop plans that minimize significant risks or unintended consequences. They identify, escalate and appropriately debate issues and concerns, document them clearly, and resolve them promptly and sustainably. AEMs adhere to all applicable laws, rules and regulations, Risk Framework, Risk Appetite and other relevant risk and governance policies, standards, procedures and guidance. They ensure appropriate governance and timely resolution of regulatory and audit issues, as applicable. The ideal candidate possesses a strong combination of strategic thinking, tactical planning, and project management skills. They can complete analyses and prioritize multiple projects without direct management.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with process, controls, and metrics.
Experience working on large scale, enterprise initiatives
Enterprise change policy & standards experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated executive presence.
Exceptional analytical skills with ability to comprehend, document, evaluate and improve complex business processes
Self-motivation, self-direction, organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities without sacrificing quality or timelines
Demonstrated leadership abilities with success managing stakeholders, driving the execution of projects, and managing competing priorities.
Effectively deals with ambiguity and adapts to changing circumstances
Strong ability to network and partner across multiple levels of the organization, prioritize work, and achieve results
Research, decision making, and problem-solving capabilities
Proficiencies in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency in Visio and/or Process Mapping
Ability to influence business and vendor partners
