Job Description

Provide leadership and accountability for the Technical Operations Department, to satisfy our customer and business needs. Key responsibilities include identification, evaluation and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain as well as formulation and recommendations on the value added services & repair value streams, business processes and overall CDC operation strategies.

  • Engage associates, develop talent, and create collaborative relationships within the department.
  • Effectively manages VAS & Repair value streams.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates department personnel.
  • Develops and documents step by step repair and value-added service procedures in conjunction with Service Project Leaders and ISO9000 requirements. 
  • Coordinates service work to ensure it meets Bosch standards and customer expectations. 
  • Directly manages CAR’s, Repairs, FMEA’s, 8D’s, and maintains ISO requirements.
  • Drives the task of product re-labelling, re-box, damage, scrap, item inspections, & repairs.
  • Manage labor force to accommodate volume fluctuations in demand.
  • Routinely ensure RF gun maintenance is completed.
  • Implement & enforce work instructions for all Department processes.
  • Interfaces with BU planners on work orders, special labeling, stock type changes, repairs, & reverbs.
  • Identify, establish, and monitor the KPI’s of the Department.
  • Identify and develop continuous improvement plans (CIP) for his/her Department and collaborates with his/her peers on joined plans.
  • Ensures safety is a number one consideration on the shop floor.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree; Electronic Systems, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics
  • 5+ years of direct experience leading a team
  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics environment.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership attributes
  • Ability to train individuals in a one-to-one teaching environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office platforms including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Visio
  • Highly self motivated
  • Strong learner – the ability to assimilate new product information
  • Must have a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must know how to run very tight processes
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment with constant interruptions and changes to delivery schedules
  • Has a thorough understanding of quality control best practices
  • Good working knowledge of SAP systems
  • Ability to develop and manage internal/external relationships
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement to achieve excellence
