Job Summary

Performs operational duties specific to issue and delivery of Home Medical Equipment. Delivers products and patient /customer education on safe and proper use, care and transport of Home Medical Equipment.



Essential Functions
 

• Performs, equipment delivery, setup and education to patients and caregivers.
• Performs preventative maintenance and/or repair of Home Medical Equipment.
• Performs cleaning, performance function testing and logging of all Home Medical Equipment according regulatory and Joint Commission standards.
• Maintains segregation of clean, dirty and quarantined equipment according to
• procedures and regulatory standards.
• Utilizes electronic medical record and interfaces with the department.
• Communicates pertinent information to HME Delivery Coordinator and HME Mangers as appropriate.
• Performs and maintains timely and accurate delivery tickets, pick-up tickets, safety
• and regulatory paperwork in accordance with departmental procedures and policies.
• Performs accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system according to
• departmental procedures and policies.
• Generates purchase requests processes approved purchase orders, stocks and logs equipment and inventory from vendors/supplier to maintain vehicle stock in accordance with regulatory and company guidelines.
• Maintains vehicle inventory PAR level and completes equipment inventory log of all incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Performs patient identification and education for the High Risk Oxygen Protocol.
• Performs timely and accurate document scanning and uploading of documentation as needed.
• Performs equipment transport and inventory transfers between At Home HME Branches as needed.

 

Physical Requirements
Requires lifting up 100 pounds. Requires walking, sitting and standing. Based on the physical requirements for this position all applicants for this position are required to undergo a physical ability test as a condition of employment.



Education, Experience and Certifications
 

High School Diploma or GED required. Knowledge of inventory control required. Current, valid drivers license and auto insurance required. Past experience working with patients and home medical equipment preferred. Excellent communication skills and customer service abilities required. General computer knowledge preferred.
