Job Description

This role will play a crucial role in the migration of data from PeopleSoft HCM and Finance to the new ERP (Workday), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project timelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical/technical background, including experience in data analysis, extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

Job Responsibilities

• Data Analysis
  • Analyze PeopleSoft Finance and HR data structures, schemas, and formats to understand data requirements for migration to new ERP.
  • Identify data mapping requirements between  PeopleSoft Finance and HR tables and the new ERP, ensuring alignment with business processes and requirements.
• Requirements gathering
  • Collaborate with client side Business Analysts, Workstream Leads and Functional Area Leads to gather data requirements and translate them into specifications for data conversion to the new ERP.
• Conversion Strategy Development
  • Assist client’s Data Conversion Lead(s) by developing and implementing data conversion strategies and, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes along with validation protocols.
  • Provide inputs and effort estimates to the Data Conversion Leads during the process of conversion scope definition, priorities, and timelines based on project requirements and stakeholder input.
• Data Extraction and Transformation
  • Extract data from PeopleSoft Finance and HR modules, and any other systems using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Transform extracted data into the required format for new ERP, using necessary templates, and applying necessary validations, cleansing, and transformation rules.
• Data Loading
  • Assist the System Integrator during the process of data loading by promptly responding to questions, but being mindful of established control and communication procedures that may need to be followed. Be prepared to make frequent and quick updates to the scripts to enable Data load by the implementation team.
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, data security and compliance with data standards and best practices.
  • Follow any information security and risk management practices specified by client and the Systems Integrator to ensure protection of sensitive data.
• Testing and Validation
  • Assist Data Conversion Leads and System Integrator with testing of data conversion processes to validate accuracy, completeness, and adherence to conversion requirements and business rules.
  • Resolve data conversion issues, discrepancies, and errors in collaboration with Data Conversion Leads, Functional Area Leads and System Integrator team members in a timely manner.
• Documentation
  • Document data conversion processes, specifications, mappings, and test results for future reference, audit, and training purposes.
  • Ensure complete and comprehensive documentation that is of high quality.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with organizational standards and project documentation guidelines.
• Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT Workstream Project Manager, business analysts, developers, and testers, to ensure seamless integration of data conversion activities within the overall project plan
