Global Operations Finance Director

The Global Operations Finance Director, reports directly to the CooperSurgical Divisional CFO and is tasked with leading teams across US, Costa Rica and UK. The role oversees financial management activities for our Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals and Services business lines evices related to Manufacturing, Distribution and Supply Chain.
The Global Operations Finance Director serves as a key member of CooperSurgical’s Global Finance Leadership Team and its Global Operations Leadership Team. The role has primary responsibilities for managing monthly reporting, Budgeting and Analytics in support of the Global Operations functions. The role also has involvement in systems implementations (ERP, EPM) and numerous business process improvement initiatives, acquisition due diligence and integration activities.
The Global Operations Finance Director is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of all global manufacturing and distribution sites in accordance with US GAAP, local accounting standards, local statutory requirements and tax compliance, including other regulatory requirements within the medical device industry. - The demonstrated performance in previous roles to to develop a cohesive team that will allow the team to demonstrate strategies of the function. This includes building a culture that lives up to CSI’s values.
- Provide support and advice to CooperSurgical’s Divisional CFO and the Global Operations Senior Management Team on all financial elements of Global Operations.
- Partner with the Global Operations Senior Management Team members to help identify key opportunities to improve financial performance and the most cost-effective ways to pursue those opportunities.
- Support development of Operation methods and advise on the costs and efficiencies of proposed developments through cost modeling to identify profit improvement opportunities.
- Drive operational efficiencies by identifying and implementing systems and process enhancements to improve controls, service levels and operational efforts.
- Establish KPI’s and be a strong driver toward the Company’s metrics by having a thorough understanding of the business
- Provide managerial oversight and guidance to the Senior Leadership Team on all matters relating to the financial strategy and operations of Global Operations
- Work closely with all areas of the business to provide fact-based decision support, and will understand and anticipate the appropriate information, metrics and business intelligence, as necessary.
- Provide accurate, timely and appropriate Management accounts to support the effective monitoring and improvement target setting of the Global Operations activities.
- Maintain and develop robust processes for the objective evaluation of resource allocation and investment opportunities based on the projected return on investment and the overall benefit for the business, all in the context of a culture of Continuous Improvement.
- Support the worldwide Operations initiatives in the development of the Strategic Plan including being a leader of the Standardization team including developing appropriate cost accounting procedures to correctly monitor the performance of the business.
- Ensure all Raw Materials and WIP inventory is recorded in accordance with group accounting policies.
- Provide accurate inputs to balance sheet, cash flow and capital expenditure forecasts.
- Produce the Global Operations annual budget, quarterly forecasts, standard costs and associated variances.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enable more efficient and accurate processing and reporting of results to tight deadlines.
- Monitor and control the capital investments throughout the Global Operations business
- Perform any other duties as required.
- Strong quantitative orientation, exhibiting a quick grasp of numbers with the strategic ability to interpret for smart decision making.
