Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician II plays a key role in keeping our agricultural production facility running safely and efficiently by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining processing, packaging, material handling, and robotic systems. This hands-on position supports equipment such as conveyors, hammer mills, sifters, Allen-Bradley PLCs, and automated production equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operational performance. We're looking for a mechanically inclined problem solver who enjoys diagnosing equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and working with both electrical and automation systems in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a maintenance professional who values safety, continuous learning, and making a direct impact on plant reliability and production success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and overhaul production machines and facility equipment

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and/or mobile equipment and vehicles, and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during service.

  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Maintain computerized preventative maintenance system

  • Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all safety policies and standards related to position.  Work in a safe manner and recognize unsafe situations, take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others in building.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate’s Degree preferred

  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience required
