Job Description

Meet Peacock, NBCUniversal’s fast growing streaming service that combines timeless shows and movies, exclusives and originals, kids programming and current hits, with timely news, sports and pop culture. 

The streaming wars are only getting started and we are competing by building a world-class team of smart, hungry and fearless professionals who are energized by the possibility of working at the epicenter of content, technology and culture. 

This position is a part of the Decision Sciences team with a charter to provide valuable insights that enable data-driven decision making. Specifically, this position will be working directly with our Enterprise partnerships team to help evaluate new subscriber growth opportunities,  including forecasting the impact to the business. This position also will evaluate existing and expired deals, consistently communicating learnings across the business. The job will be highly cross-functional, working closely with Partnerships, Marketing, Finance & Forecasting teams. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a skills assessment. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop in-depth understanding of deal constructs to assess business impact of key decisions  

  • Build, improve and maintain reports and dashboards of partner specific performance metrics to help inform cross-functional stakeholders 

  • Query and analyze complex data sets to provide advanced analytical support, developing KPI’s for assessing success  

  • Deep dive on partnership performance & contextualize learnings; provide actionable insights & recommendations to the broader organization 

  • Maintain standard monthly reports pacing against forecast  

  • Oversee reporting requirements & data needs for deals & offers, including facilitating accurate setup of internal data 

  • Work cross functionally with Partnerships, Decision Sciences & Finance 

  • Assist with subscriber forecasting for prospective partnerships 

  • Assist with deal postmortem analyses, use learnings to calibrate future deals  

  • Provide team support and advisory as needed on key internal meeting decks 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in insights, analytics, strategy or similar type role 

  • 1+ years of analytical experience working with large, complex data sets and analytical tools 

  • Proficiency with SQL (additional programming languages used for data analysis a plus: R, Python, etc.) 

  • Prior experience with Direct to Consumer or Streaming business a plus 

  • Knowledge of Tableau (or equivalent data visualization tools) 

  • Advanced Excel skills 

  • Experience creating PowerPoint presentations telling meaningful stories with data 

  • Strategic thinker with ability to derive conclusions and recommendations from raw data 

  • Team oriented and collaborative with an aptitude and willingness to learn 

  • Strong sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision & purpose 

  • Bachelor’s degree from top tier school in Business Analytics, Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other relevant quantitative fields 

  • Experience with statistical modeling and/or advanced data science techniques is a plus
