Biology / Biotechnology Intern:

 

Description

 

The Biological and Chemical Technologies Group is looking for summer interns to be part of a team of researchers working on projects such as engineering cell lines, building and testing novel biosensors, developing rapid diagnostics, building and characterizing in vitro cell culture systems and novel protein-protein binding interactions. The successful candidate will work closely with experts in synthetic biology, molecular biology, biological engineering, rapid prototyping, and microfluidics.

 

Requirements

 

Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in biology, biochemistry, biological engineering or related field is required.  Experience with one or more bench biology skill set (molecular biology, cell culture, microbiology) strongly preferred. Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and graphical) are highly desired.

 

Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
