The Role:
The Continuous Improvement Manager oversees the day-to-day functions of the Process and Manufacturing Engineering function and is responsible for the management of resources and equipment engaged in Continuous Improvement activities; these include the definition and implementation of Manufacturing Process for new products and for supporting the development of process improvement to the manufacture of existing product. This role also oversees the Commissioning of built product and the management of the Commissioning test team Essential to the role is the creation of successful build platforms that enable the Manufacturing group to optimize the use of their manufacturing resources with a view to reducing unit cost, increasing product quality, and implementing appropriate tooling and equipment to aid in these goals. The Continuous Improvement Manager has the authority to hire, discipline and set the work patterns for the Process, Manufacturing engineering and Commissioning teams
What you’ll do:
- Develop, document and Implement sound Manufacturing processes.
- Lead the maintenance of existing process system data to enable accurate costing of product and enter New Product data as needed.
- Lead the Manufacturing Commissioning team.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to find and analyze process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct data analysis to assess current processes and measure performance metrics.
- Collaborate with teams to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on continuous improvement methodologies.
- Monitor and report on the progress of improvement projects.
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Find and prioritize improvement projects based on business goals.
- Provide guidance and support to teams on improvement tools and techniques.
- Maintains all staff by: Selecting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
- Works cross functionally with Operations and Engineering to identify current and future Process needs.
- Be integral to the New Product Development process and use the IA stage Gate Project Engineering process to identify and complete Process and Manufacturing Engineering tasks within a Project Environment
Who you are:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Production or Mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years Proven experience in continuous improvement roles including the implementation of Lean or similar
- Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to parse data streams.
- Improvement Methodologies: Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies and their application
- The ability to teach and train Improvement methodologies
- Project Management: Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Leadership: Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Collaborative: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Data Analysis: Data-driven mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Change Management: Change management expertise.
- Continuous Learning: Continuous learning and staying updated on industry best practices.

Compensation:
The estimated base annual salary range for this position is $87,523 to $ 118,413, though a candidate’s base annual salary shall be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. This position may additionally be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
