Priory Hospital Bristol has an opportunity for a Registered Mental Nurse with active NMC Registration to join our team on the Private Addictions Ward.
Priory Hospital Bristol, Stapleton, Bristol is a specialist mental health and addiction treatment service for individuals, families and couples. It provides fast access to treatment for a range of psychiatric conditions and addictions. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes serving Stapleton and Bristol Parkway railway station approximately 2–3 miles from the hospital.

What you'll be doing

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will deliver safe, person-centred care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised care plans while acting as the named nurse for a defined group of patients. You will monitor patient progress, respond to changing needs, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes. The role includes leading shifts, delegating nursing duties, maintaining a safe clinical environment, supporting newly qualified staff through preceptorship, and participating in clinical supervision and continuous professional development. You will also ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation, the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, DoLS, medicines management policies, the NMC Code, and organisational standards to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential for the role
- Minimum 6 months post registration experience within Mental Health or Learning Disabilities Care Environment, evidence of continued professional development in relevant field
