About the role
Job Summary:
Schedule, supervise and train staff so that EDI B2B business functions are covered and service to the customer is maintained. Provide a high level of communication for all internal and external customers; including but not limited to phone, email and online. Assist with personnel decisions as a part of developing, motivating, and empowering team members to align with business goals, departmental priorities, and performance.
- Directly supervises the activities of assigned employees in the in the department including but not limited to: planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Utilizing performance measurement systems to improve productivity and customer service. Maintain department payroll/Kronos and time sheets.
- Assist in hiring, training and terminations when appropriate; assuring they are processed according to guidelines. Motivate, inspire, and build relationships. Lead by example. Demonstrate ability to ensure complete customer satisfaction and create repeat business opportunities while operating profitably.
- Serve as first escalation point for employee questions and issues. Provide specific training and coaching. Expeditiously respond to any customer issue or question as required. Follow up as needed to ensure customer satisfaction including customer and sales representative notification of status of setup, enhancement or fix requested.
- Communicate with employees, management and outside vendors. Keeping the customer first, create and maintain strong, positive working relationships with all team members, external customers and service providers, both internal and external.
- Implement reports to track data and trends and report to management daily, weekly and each period to measure your team performance. Create action plans for areas not at or above goal. Follow up until desired performance level is achieved.
- Ensure that the EDI B2B mailbox is managed according to the proper priorities and assign service desk tickets to the team. Ensure work is not being duplicated by team members
- Randomly audit closed EDI B2B tickets to verify accuracy and closure was appropriate. Ensure all communications for help desk tickets are to the correct internal and external people to minimize duplicate work.
- Regular attendance is required.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3 years of previous EDI experience required. Previous experience supervising others highly preferred.
- Previous experience using EDI integration platforms (i.e. Cleo) preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation communication skills required internal and external to Estes.
- Strong computer skills required
- Ability to travel based on business needs required
- Excellent quantitative and problem solving skills required
- Ability to manage the EDI B2B process as it relates to our internal and external customers. Ability to adjust without hesitation when priorities change.
- Ability to quickly learn new applications, strong knowledge of AS400, management/call systems preferred
- Self-starter and ability to work with little direction; attention to detail and good follow-up skills
- Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job.
- Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct

- Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
- Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
