The Department of Family & Community Medicine of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is currently accepting candidates for the position of The Jefferson Fellowship in LGBTQIA+ Health
This position is for a 1 year non-ACGME accredited fellowship position in LGBTQIA+ Health to be hired as a 0.6 clinical FTE, full-time clinical faculty member to split clinical time at Jefferson Family Medicine Associates and Jefferson Pride Care (Haddonfield, NJ).
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical care in the areas of family medicine, HIV primary care and LGBTQIA+ health including gender-affirming care
- Establishing and maintaining a panel of primary care patients, managing chronic health conditions, acute conditions, and preventive care.
- Additional educational clinical experiences working in HIV primary care with FM, IM, ID clinicians, LGBTQIA+ care with affirming medical subspecialists, behavioral health and allied health professionals
- Engaging in quality improvement efforts and clinical services program development across the Jefferson enterprise in LGBTQIA+ care
- At-home telephone call 5-9PM once monthly in a large DFCM pool of call participants.
- Working as part of interprofessional team (including MA, RNs, behavioral health, social workers, population health specialists) that provides patient-centered care.
- Teaching resident physicians and medical students in the area of LGBTQIA+ care & HIV care
Requirements: Qualified applicants will hold a MD or DO degree and be board certified, or eligible, in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Must have or obtain a PA and NJ medical license. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with experience. Jefferson offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefit package.
