POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager of Planning, will be the primary planning lead for the division, representing the end-to-end planning functions and tradeoffs. In this role, you will lead the development of bottom-up consensus demand plans in the division by aligning stakeholders efficiently. You will also ensure supply by coordinating with central supply planning teams to understand constraints, gaps, and scenarios, aligning with division teams on tradeoffs to drive key decisions. Close collaboration between the central demand, supply, and distribution planning teams is essential, with those teams enabling processes across all divisions.
This role serves as the voice of the planning function to the division and vice versa, communicating with the functional teams and the X-SCLT Chain Leadership Team. Strong cross-functional collaboration and influence are necessary throughout the Monthly Business Planning Process to optimize product availability, long-term strategy, and total delivered cost.
This individual will interact with and influences key stakeholders within the division, as well as the entire end-to-end planning and operations team. Regular collaboration will occur with divisional leadership teams, business supply chain directors, supply planning, distribution planning, finance, commercial, and sales to develop an accurate demand forecast and align on supply constraints, tradeoffs, and critical operational decisions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide E2E Planning expertise and strategic guidance to the division around demand forecasting, supply availability, operational constraints, customer prioritization and product renovation/innovation, including customization.
• Leads and champions sales forecasting strategies and efforts that increase efficiency, profitability, and sustain business unit growth. Develops relationships with cross-functional Business Unit partners and appropriate supply chain functions to ensure cohesive forecasting, operational planning, and business unit strategies.
• Ensures the forecast is a collaborative process by developing appropriate interface/input processes with Marketing and Category, Market Planning and Customer Business Development (Sales) teams on an on- going basis as well as part of the monthly Sales & Operating Planning Process (S&OP).
• Leads and champions the refinement and improvement of sales forecasting processes and systems to support business requirements, and lead to improved forecasting efficiency and effectiveness, and result in increased forecast accuracy and customer service levels.
• Ensures supply by coordinating between the division and centralized demand and supply planning teams in order to assess current plans evaluate key business scenarios and understand/represent the E2E plans and tradeoffs to the division.
• Builds and maintains a strong partnership across Commercial and Operational Teams, supporting functional and divisional leadership for S&OP/MBP/IBP processes. Participating or facilitating key meetings as needed to create the consensus demand plan, align on operational supply plan, and drive key decisions necessary around gaps and tradeoffs.
• Plans and manages business unit conversations, influencing strategies and ensuring programs are aligned between company business objectives, and broader functional strategies.
