Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Cardiology Manager for our Cardiovascular Services Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Cardiology Manager you will:
• Manage the daily operations for Cardiology in order to maintain standards of performance and meet key performance metrics in patient satisfaction, efficiency, finance and growth. Report progress to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiovascular services.
• Work with Cardiology staff to ensure that echo technologists and physicians comply with ICAEL lab and Joint Commission standards. Work with staff and educate staff to maximize quality of work. Perform personnel evaluations.
• Prepare daily work assignments to ensure proper coverage for daily volume in Echo and EKG services.
• Receive physicians orders for inpatient and outpatients. Review electronic medical records for pertinent history. Provide patient care in a safe and compassionate manner. Perform echocardiograms for pediatric and adult patients according to protocol. Perform studies to ICAEL standard, department policy and procedure, and ACC/AHC standards. Examine the heart from the appropriate echo views assessing wall motion, valve function, chamber size, and any abnormalities seen, notify cardiologist of any critical results. Administer contrast per protocol.
• Take call on rotating schedule or as needed.
• Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Notify biomed of all equipment malfunctions.
• Coordinates/Leads quarterly echo conferences.
• Work in conjunction with the Director to develop operational initiatives and regulatory compliance. Execute operation plans in the most efficient manner possible.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:
• Associates Degree required. Bachelors or Masters Degree preferred.
• A minimum of three years of echocardiographer experience working with ICAEL standards.
• 2 years of supervisory responsibilities preferred
• ARDMS OR CCI Registered
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule:

Work schedule is M-F 0730 - 4 or close.

Will continue to take call.

Pay Range:

$96,058.56 - $144,081.60

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
