The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Digital Solutions and Device Integration leader you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leads a teams of device, firmware and application development engineers, building capabilities to scale digitally enabled solutions globally
• Implements strategies to scale digital solutions from prototype to scale while strengthening operating margin
• Determines build vs. buy strategy for technology development
• Supports rapid experimentation and solution development to identify a portfolio of digitally enabled solutions for real world acceptance testing
• Partnering with Global Personal Safety Division Lab leadership, located in 10 countries, to accelerate delivery of value-added solutions, leveraging connectivity and external technology stacks

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical or material science engineering or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Three (3) years of experience developing and scaling regulated, connected devices in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's or PhD degree in chemical, mechanical or material science engineering] from an accredited institution
• Five (5) years of leading global organizations that deliver full life cycle development for regulated connected devices in a private, public, government or military environment
• Skills include self-starter, ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and influence non-technical leaders, humble leader able to engage a range of team members, comfortable leading when ambiguity exists

• Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
• Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $259,007 - $316,564, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
