A Day in the Life: What You Will Do
As a DSP, you are the heart of our mission: empowering people. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Empowerment & Personal Care: Providing respectful, hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as personal hygiene, grooming, and mealtime support.
- Behavioral Support & Advocacy: Serving as a compassionate partner, providing positive behavioral support, following person-centered support plans, and assisting with de-escalation.
- Community & Integration: Being a bridge to the community. You'll support individuals with their goals, from transportation to appointments and hobbies to helping them thrive in community-based jobs.
- Health & Wellness: Supporting health and wellness by administering medications, assisting with mobility, and preparing nutritious meals.
