Internship Dates

  • Start Date: May 28, 2025
  • End Date: August 8, 2025
  • Intern Summit in Denver: June 10 - 12

What You'll Do

Over your 10-week paid internship, our Software Engineer Intern will join an agile team where they'll take part in PI Planning and Hackathon events. They'll have the opportunity to explore and gain hands-on experience with our technology stack while deepening their understanding of CoBank’s mission. Interns will enhance their engineering skills by contributing to the transformation of a platform with over $200 billion in assets. Embracing a growth mindset, they’ll learn from experienced professionals and collaborate with a mentor to develop and present a capstone project at the conclusion of the internship.

 

This role is hybrid, interns will come into their designated office at least 4 days a week.

 

Interns work approximately 40-hours per week.

Compensation Information

  • Bachelor's Student: $21.00/hour
  • Master's Student: $25.00/hour
  • Summer Stipend: $3,500

Education

  • Currently enrolled in and working towards Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems and in good academic standing
  • While rising seniors will be given priority, we will consider rising juniors

Work Experience

Other Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills primarily in the use of the Java, Node.js, React, AWS programming languages. Additionally, Python preferred
  • Ability to read and understand existing programs
  • Strong understanding of problem statements (or requirements), software design, programming and testing
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate problem statements into algorithms
  • Aptitude for learning application frameworks used within the team
  • Ability to perform research across multiple systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
