Research Program Assistant

We are seeking a Research Program Assistant to perform participant recruitment, interviewing, surveying, and tracking; quality control; and data entry for a research study related to hypertension, cardiovascular disease and other health conditions.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Using internal software tools, database, and script guidelines, reach out to candidates on the phone to speak with them about the project, determine eligibility, obtain oral consent, and record responses to interview questions.
- Ensure security, quality, and confidentiality of data by following policies and procedures.
- Make follow-up survey calls to enrolled participants.
- Complete data entry regarding participant information.
- Complete all training in a timely manner.
- Perform work in evening and/or weekend hours to reach study participants when they are available.
Additional administrative tasks may include
- Participate in staff meetings,
- Assist project manager as necessary regarding typing, filing, faxing, mass mailings, chart review, and literature searches,
- Assist in preparing recruitment and tracking update reports,
- Assist in preparing monthly quality control and data management reports,
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work evening and/or weekend hours to reach study participants when they are available.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work well and communicate effectively with others.
- Strong attention to details and follow-ups,
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
- Some related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some college courses preferred.
- Community or volunteer work experience.
- Work or volunteer time in a research setting.
- Retail or other customer service or customer support experience.
- Telephone-based work experience.

Starting Salary Range: $15.40 - $23.25 HRLY ($23,688 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
