A Brief Overview
As Director of Open Market Solutions, you be responsible for managing everything that falls under the TriNet Insurance Brokerage (TIB) and how it operates in partnership with the Open Market Solutions (OMS) program. You will play a crucial role in both our Open Market Solutions and our ASO benefits offerings. You will oversee the TIB consultants responsible for gathering medical quotes for both large and small groups, ancillary quotes from carriers, creating comprehensive proposals, and managing the implementation of benefit plans in TriNet's Benefits Administration system. You will also play a key role in building out additional operational processes as needed.

What you will do

  • Develop the TriNet Insurance Brokerage Open Market Quoting model to retain business transitioning from PEO benefits.
  • Develop strategies and business plans to deliver and exceed expected business objectives.
  • Carrier Relationships: Manage/oversee carrier appointments in major markets and ensure compliance with carrier requirements.
  • Manage TIB brokers daily activities, including quoting- large group, small group, and ancillary products.
  • General Agent Partnerships: manage operational relationships with our GA, retail, and PEO Broker partners in co-servicing arrangements within our OMS service offering.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure benefit plans comply with relevant laws and standards.
  • Sale Relationship: Partner and manage expectations with colleagues in the sales organization to ensure a smooth transition for clients.
  • Manage TIB broker license Status to ensure no lapses in coverage and that TIB is compliant in each state.
  • Stay abreast of competitive offerings and positioning in the market.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree-preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 10+ years experience in benefits administration or related field.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in using TriNet's Benefits Administration system is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, and ancillary products.
  • Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills required.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated dedication to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced business and constantly evolving work environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Highly effective leadership skills reflecting ownership/accountability, critical thinking, collaboration, demonstrated ability to inspire and empower others, promote inclusivity, transparency, and resiliency.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
