Sr. Tax Associate (Hybrid Remote)

Salary: $100,000 - 110,000/yearThis position allows for 3 days per week remote / work from home. The Senior Tax Associate will play a critical role in supporting tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse range of clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Assist in tax planning and advisory services, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies.
• Conduct research on various tax issues and stay updated on current tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and respond to inquiries related to tax filings.
• Mentor and train junior staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Assist in the preparation of tax projections and estimates.
• Prepare supporting documentation for audits and represent clients during tax examinations as needed.
• Participate in special projects related to tax compliance and consulting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA certification is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
• Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
