We are looking for a Quality Specialist to handle a key function within Vestas Quality, Project Quality Assurance implementing the global Quality strategy throughout product development.

Vestas Quality, Project Quality Assurance main responsibility is to perform end-to-end quality assurance on all product and technology development projects, from scoping to design to prototype builds, ensuring all deliverables have the correct quality and maturity level.

Furthermore, the department supports the projects with competencies in critical tools and process adherence.

Project Quality Assurance is a global function under Vestas Quality with the responsibility for business process management, SixSigma/LEAN and driving quality and continuous improvement initiatives within Vestas Quality.

The team is located in India, Portugal and Denmark and facilitates global activities by collaborating with regional QHSE resources and other functions across the globe. This position is for Project Quality Assurance at the Lem or Aarhus offices in Denmark.

We are looking for a Quality Specialist, who can improve quality capabilities in product development projects by ensuring a focus on standardising and measuring processes, reducing variation, and optimising time, cost and quality by engaging in development projects.

Reduce overspends, Cost of Poor quality, and improve Customer satisfaction through the execution of Project Quality Assurance

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining and coordinating the Quality Assurance approach across the module.

  • Responsible for product-level performance reporting and project-quality performance

  • Ensure that continued improvement from previous projects or products is taken into account

  • Responsible for ensuring that quality lessons learned are captured and mitigated during the project's lifetime

  • Responsible for highlighting quality risks and initiating needed support

  • Overview of assurance resources and needs, module level

  • Ensure that projects are planned by Vestas processes in the Vestas Process Portal and Vestas Way to Market frameworks.

  • Ensure that the quality of project deliveries is evaluated based on defined and agreed-upon quality criteria

  • Ensure that continuous improvement and lessons learned are mitigated and monitored.

  • Responsible for modules Project quality performance is transparently reported to Project SteerCo, and risks are addressed.

  • Support project on solving quality-related issues

  • Overview of assurance resources and needs module level

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in Business, Engineering, Quality or Operations field

  • +5 years of product development experience and stage gate approach experience

  • Expertise and understanding of Project Execution and Manufacturing Quality function processes

  • Customer focus, effective problem-solving capabilities, solid collaboration, and cultural sensitivity skills

  • Able to communicate across all levels to align expectations, engage the organisation, monitor results and establish solutions

  • Experience in guiding and influencing cross-functional leaders in large, multinational organisations

  • Must have a sense of urgency for change and improvement and a balanced approach to risk-taking and achieving results

  • Knowledge of relevant quality tools and methodologies

  • Strategic approach

  • Lean management / Lean Six Sigma, preferably Black Belt

  • VDA6.3 Auditor or Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 standard

  • Knowledge of APQP, APQP4wind and Systems Engineering approach

  • English on a negation level

  • Project Management Principles, i.e. Prince2 Foundation

  • Knowledge of quality assurance of software development
