Radiant is an El-Segundo, CA-based clean energy startup building a nuclear microreactor. A climate-friendly alternative to diesel generators, Radiant's Kaleidos 1MW microreactor will be the world's first portable, zero-emissions power source that works anywhere. We plan to test our development reactor by 2026 and if successful, it will be the first new commercial reactor design to achieve a fueled test in over 50 years. Radiant's goal is to bring one of the world's first factory-constructed microreactors to market. Our microreactor can bring power to remote parts of the world and provide backup power for life-saving applications in hospitals or disaster-relief scenarios. 

Social Media Content Creator 

Radiant is seeking a Social Media Content Creator who is a true jack-of-all-trades storyteller. This individual will be responsible for producing compelling content across Radiant’s digital channels – bringing our groundbreaking work to life for audiences ranging from policymakers to the general public. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable behind a camera, at a design desk, or writing copy that resonates. 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Conceptualize, shoot, and edit short-form video, photo, and multimedia content for social platforms (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram, etc.). 
• Draft engaging captions, headlines, and narratives tailored to each channel and audience. 
• Develop simple graphics, infographics, and layouts to support campaigns and storytelling. 
• Collaborate with the rest of the communications and marketing team to plan, publish, engage with, and monitor content across channels. 
• Capture the unique culture of Radiant through both polished and guerrilla-style content (e.g., behind-the-scenes videos from engineers, rapid-response posts during key milestones). 
• Track performance and stay current with platform updates, emerging formats, and creative best practices. 

Qualifications 

• 2-5+ years of experience in a social media/content-focused position. 
• Proven experience creating social media content (portfolio of video, photography, and design work required). 
• Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or equivalent) and basic graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator). 
• Strong copywriting skills with the ability to shift tone from technical to accessible. 
• Experience managing content across multiple platforms, understanding platform-specific audiences and algorithms. 
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment. 
• A passion for science, technology, and storytelling. Experience in energy, engineering, or complex technology sectors is a plus.

Additional Qualifications 

• Must be willing to work extended hours or weekends as needed to accomplish the mission 
• Must work 100% onsite at Radiant’s El Segundo HQ. 
• Occasional travel for content capture as needed.
