Job Summary:

As the Director of Billing at Remedy Surgery Center, you will play a pivotal role in supervising departmental activities and ensuring the achievement of quality and operational goals. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining high standards of productivity and functional excellence, coding, and compliance. Primary Job Responsibilities:

· Ensure timely and accurate completion of all billing activities, both individually and within the team.

· Meet provider payroll deadlines by completing provider billing by the 5th workday of each month.

· Execute billing within 48 business hours of receiving post-operative notes, implant invoicing, and any necessary billing clarifications.

· Proactively address billing disputes with team members and staff to swiftly achieve positive resolutions.

· Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.

· Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy in existing systems and processes.

· Assist in training new employees and coordinate schedules and processes as needed.

· Effectively communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients as required.

· Oversee Full Revenue Cycle Management to ensure effective handling of all billing processes, including regular audits to maintain high standards of accuracy.

· Lead the appeals process, reviewing and responding to denied claims and strategizing to overturn denials effectively.

· Ensure compliant coding practices within the team, staying updated with the latest coding standards and guidelines

· Manage billing processes for major medical/commercial insurance, ensuring compliance with specific insurance policies and procedures.

· Stay current with Medicare Guidelines and rates, ensuring compliance in all aspects of Medicare billing and reimbursement.

· Supervise Texas Worker’s Compensation claims processing in accordance with state-specific guidelines.

· Oversee ASC Facility Billing, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

· Familiarize with prior authorization processes to ensure claims approval.

· Regularly review and update billing procedures and guidelines, ensuring team-wide adherence.

· Provide comprehensive reporting and summaries to the executive team on a regular basis.

· Coordinate collections of co-pays and patient balances.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Education Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree

Experience Requirements:

· Minimum of two years of experience in Ancillary Surgery Center Billing

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations Required:

· Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred
