Senior Assessor – Team Lead

VMD Corp, now part of Xcelerate Solutions, seeks a Senior Assessor – Team Lead to provide subject matter expertise and advisory services, ensuring contract requirements and deliverables are met effectively. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and conduct security assessments and evaluations in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide expert recommendations on security risks and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure timely and effective completion of contract-specified deliverables.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to senior leadership, system owners, and technical teams.
• Perform testing and validation, documentation and reporting. 

Skills:

• Possess strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP.
• Experience with security control testing, vulnerability assessments, and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

 Requirements:

• Experience: 7+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Education: Master’s degree in a technical or cyber-related field (or equivalent certifications/experience).
• Required Certifications: CISSP
• Desired Certifications: CIPP, or CIPM
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizen.
• Clearance: Public Trust
• Location: Must reside within the DC Metro area.
