Job Summary:

The Miami Accounting team of Everest Reinsurance Company, a member of Everest Re Group, Ltd. is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst for our Treaty Team.

This is a hybrid position working 3 days in office, 2 remote in Miami, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Data organization and analysis; document organization and storage.

• Manage the timeliness and accuracy of the quarterly reports/controls.

• Drive improvements to the reinsurance accounting system to facilitate efficient processes in handling complex accounts.

• Input of reinsurance premiums, losses, and other information into the general ledger.

• Review of daily payment receipts and proper allocation of all incoming payments.

• Work collaboratively with home office accounting staff and with supporting departments such as claims and underwriting. 

• Regular correspondence with back-office staff of client companies regarding overdue balances, claim payments, etc.

• Support internal and external audit processes as needed.

Work Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Strong accounting and financial skills preferred.

• 2-3+ years of experience in reinsurance and/or insurance or other similar field.

• Bilingual (Portuguese/English or Spanish/English) is a must; Trilingual (Portuguese/English/Spanish) is a plus.

• Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal) are required.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
