YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities.
Build, refine, and interpret complex financial models to support client recommendations and transaction analysis.
Conduct detailed financial analysis and due diligence with limited supervision.
Develop and deliver high-impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other relevant tools.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across Credit, Capital Markets, and other business units.
Prioritize and manage multiple high-value opportunities simultaneously.
Independently complete credit and corporate finance analysis, including risk assessment and valuation.
Support Managing Directors and senior bankers in client coverage, including preparation of pitch books and market updates.
Provide strategic input on product suitability and capital markets solutions for clients.
Mentor and guide Analyst I team members, providing feedback and support as needed.
Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team’s and the company’s mission.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2–3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field. Ideally with multi-unit consumer services experience.
Demonstrated academic or professional exposure to financial analysis and corporate finance concepts.
Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses required within Fifth Third guidelines.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Qualified candidates will bring emerging professional proficiency, generally acquired through 2-3 years of relevant work or internship experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to synthesize financial data and trends.
Strong command of financial modeling and valuation techniques.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Familiarity with financial databases and platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or FactSet.
